Cscan is the brainchild of Dr Rauf Yousaf. Rauf is the radiologist (medical imaging doctor) and director of Cscan. Rauf was initially trained in England after completing undergraduate studies in 1995 with the University of Dundee in Scotland. He has practiced almost exclusively as a radiologist since 2000 when he was appointed Specialist Registrar in Radiology at Northwick Park Hospital in Middlesex, England.
He spent four years in New Zealand, firstly as Radiology Registrar at Christchurch Hospital while achieving his Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists Fellowship, before moving into a role as Consultant Radiologist with Canterbury Medical Imaging.
Rauf moved his family to Australia in March 2008 and held the position of Managing Partner and Consultant Radiologist with National Capital Diagnostic Imaging, the preferred imaging provider to such leading ACT sporting institutions as the Australian Institute of Sport, the Canberra Raiders and the ACT Brumbies. Rauf had a desire to move to warmer climes and to establish a world class specialist radiology clinic, and hence Cscan in Newcastle was born.
The staff at Cscan have been hand picked from hundreds of applicants as being the best at what they do, and also identified as those that will go the extra mile for each and every patient under their care. Their individual profiles will be added to the site as time goes by.
