Leading Edge Technology
In early 1950, Sirona was one of the first companies to launch film-based panoramic X-ray systems and – since 1996 – has been consistently breaking new ground in the area of digital panoramic and cephalometric radiography as well. Several thousand CCD-based Sirona X-ray systems have now been installed in dental practices worldwide. Day in, day out these systems demonstrate their enormous dependability, outstanding ease of use, and excellent image quality.
Sirona ORTHOPHOS XG5
The X-ray units of the ORTHOPHOS XG family are the benchmark in digital panoramic X-ray imaging. Working together with dentists, Sirona implemented their ideas into practical developments within the x-ray units.
The ORTHOPHOS XG 5 is designed as part of the Sirona's XG family for clinics who would like to use state-of-the-art technologies to meet their imaging requirements.
Low dose, higher quality
Just like all the other imaging equipment at CSCAN, the dental x-ray unit is designed to be digital, resulting in reduced dose, higher image quality and more reproduceable images. Like all digital images at CSCAN, the dental x-rays are digitally stored for two years on our high capacity PACS.
CSCAN offers multiple types of digital dental xrays including:

lateral cephalograms - standard orthopantomograms with orthoradial projection
- panoramic projections with constant 1:1.25x projection
- paediatric panoramic radiographs with reduced height and length to lower radiation dose
- temporomandibular joint open and closed mouth lateral views
- transverse multi-slice posterior teeth views
- Low dose AP, PA and lateral cephalograms
