Cscan is a fully digital radiology practice. We offer our referrers CHOICE in the way they wish to receive both the medical images and the reports.
Results
All medical images acquired at Cscan are stored on our radiology image storage system. These stay STORED on our severs for at least two years. Our resident radiologist will usually provide a report the same day, and certainly within 24 hours for most cases. Complex cases especially those that need advanced reconstructions may take up to 48 hours but a provisional verbal report is always available, as is the case for all imaging studies performed at cscan. Cscan offers Newcastle’s referrers a radiologist to personally CONTACT at all times. Dr Yousaf is happy to take calls and welcomes visitors to the practice to discuss any case or any special requests.
Online images
In keeping with the best standard of care worldwide, Cscan has invested in a comprehensive Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), making it even easier for referrers to access secure images and reports online from anywhere in the world. A report is fine, but often a picture speaks a thousand words. Most cases will have key images of pathology stored with he reports, but in addition the IMAGES ARE ONLINE for review by any referrers who wish to see the whole imaging data set. Urgent notification
Cscan's radiologist will notify the referring doctor of any critical results immediately by telephone or SMS text message.
Medical Images can be:
- Printed to film
- Stored on CD/DVD or USB flash drive
- Viewed online
Routine reports can be:
- Printed and given to the patient
- Faxed to your practice
- Emailed to your practice
- Viewed online
